So where do I begin ? Last night I thought the house was getting colder and colder. I went downstairs to check the furnace and guess what? It was blowing cold air! We called the gas company and they came out. We needed a part that had to be ordered so we had nooo heat until this afternoon. Thank goodness for the gas company workers.
On my way to Mommy, Bobo's and Sissy's house this morning I was stopped at a stop light waiting to get on the highway ramp when I was hit in the back of my car. All I could think of was that I did not want to look at the back of my car. I was very relieved to see that there was no damage. It has not been a good start to the week, but I am hoping that it will get better.

I was going to go to SHOP RITE as much as I could this week but between a small snow storm and Sissy deciding to have an allergic reaction I have only had the chance once to get there.
Daddy has gone once, and he is going tonight (even though he doesn't know it yet!) The biggest score we had was because my daughter www.dealsharingaunt.blogspot.com held a GLADE HOUSE PARTY and we each got a few coupons for the NEW GLADE EXPRESSIONS STARTER KITS. They were on sale this week for $2.99 each. The coupons were for $2.00 off one. So we bought 5 this week for $2.99 x 5 was $14.95. Then we took 5 coupons off for $2.00 each, making the total $4.95. Then because they were having their dollar days sales we received a $3.00 coupon off of your next order and one of their reusable bags ! Wow $2.95 for 5 GLADE EXPRESSION STARTER KITS !
Without going into exact amounts I spent about $75.00 before coupons. After my regular coupons it was $45.00. I then remembered that there was a coupon in this years ENTERTAINMENT BOOK for $10.00 off of a purchase $40.00 or more. So the ending total was about $35.00. Because they had their dollar days which is money back by buying a set number of items in each different group you would receive money back in coupons for your next order. Because of the items I bought I received a total of $24.00 in coupons for my next order. After all was said and done I spent $35.00 out of pocket and received $24.00 back. I bought about $75.00 for $35.00 and I have $24.00 to spend so I spent $11.00 for all that I bought. They have dollar days again next week, but the sales are not as interesting. I will probably go for MANWICH which our family cannot live without, because they are 10 for $10.00. The deal is if you buy 10 you get $3.00 back to spend your next shopping trip. If I use some of the coupons I have now I will in effect get these for free with another three dollar coupon. A great way to save and stockpile some of our favorite things !

Well it seems as if the sick bug has hit our house. We have all had one symptom or another. Thankfully we hope and feel that we are feeling a little better. I am hoping that I can go to SHOP RITE this week to take advantage of the dollar days sales. if you buy a certain number of items in different categories than you get money slips to spend on your next purchase. You also get a free reusable bag. I was very upset last week when they had the sale that if you bought 10 certain items you got $10 to spend on your next order. I was going to go in the middle of the week when I read on other blogs that they were limiting this to one transaction per card. They had 10 bottles of certain drinks for $1o and then you got the $10 slip which made these completely free. As usual there were some who were greedy and ruined it for others. They probably have cases of these drinks in their house, now. If they had done this before they still allowed them one more transaction on their card. This just wasn't right. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens this week?

Wow, how excited I was to receive a copy of the book, Anna Boleyn and The King's Great Secret by Julia L. A. Kelly . It tells a different story of what might have been, that events may have been told in a way to protect the people involved. It tells most of the story in the words of what might have been her own. It was a little difficult to get interested in because of all that we have been told about her life. King Henry VIII was a man who was obsessed with the idea that he had to produce a male heir. According to this account he had more than 1 son before his marriage to her and after her execution both by Anne Boleyn . Why would he not shout this out to the world?
I also found it even harder to believe that she did any of the things that the author has alluded to. such as, inventing the "equals" sign. Even more hard to believe she knew the "Mona Lisa". So, the question seems to be is , was she a victim of a womanizer or was she indeed a religious woman who was used for a man's own needs?
The book is something that I truly like, historical romance. I liked the book but sometimes found it hard to follow. I was sent this book by the Dorrance Review Book Team with no other compensation and all opinions are my own. www.dorrancebookstore.com

Valentines Day is a big deal in our house. Mommy and I bought cupcake disposable tins in the shapes of hearts a few months ago. When we purchased them they were on sale so we were able to score them really cheap. Then a few months ago we were at ALDI GROCERY STORE and they had marked down cake mixes and frostings that were different colors for holiday baking. I had been promising Bobo and Sissy that we were going to make heart shaped cupcakes for Mommy and Daddy for Valentines Day. We made them and Bobo and Sissy were able to decorate them . they came out really cute. We have made a habit of buying various items on sale so that when we need them we do not have to go out and pay full purchase price for them.

I even have an under the bed storage container that I keep ribbons , cards and other things i use to wrap presents with. After christmas when I go looking for sales I always look for wrapping paper that I can use all year round. Solid red, white , gold work out great for other holidays. I also have to mention that I am in love with ribbon that has the ability to make stiff bows to look beautiful. Mommy and I have saved a lot of money thinking ahead.

Here it is!!!! Bobo's room. I am so in love with his room. I cannot believe how great it turned out! This is his brand new rug . He picked this shade of blue.

These are the THOMAS THE TRAIN DECALS !!!! Bobo like Sissy told us where to place each and every decal. This is his own bookcase. It is so special to me to see the rooms that Bobo and Sissy have designed with everyone's help! They are wonderful kids and they are the light of our lives !!!!

Yesterday I was able to go to PRICE CHOPPERS with Mommy and Sissy to get some shopping done. We were told for the past few days that we were going to get 3 to 6 inches of snow today . But today when we got up and there wasn't a drop to be seen. Oh well, I guess the weathermen were confused!

So to get back to my story, there were quite a few good sales there and we got some great bargains. They had club rolls for a $1.00 for a dozen. These are freshly made in the bakery and are smaller than a hard roll but bigger than a dinner roll. Just the right size for a small sandwich, which we had as soon as we got home with the ham and cheese we bought in the deli. As usual I was not able to pass by the huge section with all of the different kinds of fresh bread. My favorite is Tuscan bread which was $3.99 for a huge loaf. There also was a coupon for $1.00 off any freshly made bread so it was only $2.99. This bread makes great paninis.

I know I must sound like I love bread, and I do, but I love to fill my freezer when it is on sale so I never run out. They also had FREIHOFERS BREAD buy 1 get 2 free on sale. Our next stop was the dairy section and I almost fell over. They had $.50 off stickers on some of their single packages of DANNON YOGURT. Some were fruit on the bottom and they also had coffee and raspberry flavors. I thought they were probably out of date but when I checked they still had a week to go. They must had too many and had to try to sell them. The price sticker said $.75 so I thought we would get them for $.25. When we got to the register to pay they rang up $.60 so we got them for $.10 each. So we ended up getting about 30 to split among our families for $3.00.

A great trip and some great bargains.

We have spent all weekend getting Sissy's room done ! Now it is time for Bobo's. The pink room, the curtains and the gorgeous DISNEY PRINCESS DECALS are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in a girl's room. When we started to put the finishing touches on we couldn't believe how many beautiful things, bookshelves, wicker chairs, beautiful pictures and more that we had been either buying and saving or Mommy had been buying .
Bobo cannot wait until we get to work on his THOMAS THE TRAIN DECALS . I will be putiing up pictures hopefully tomorrow so stay tuned.....

Here is Mommy Bobo and Sissy getting ready to show off Sissy's room to everyone. We cannot wait !!!! This is a picture of her window curtains. The curtains have a design and sequins throughout.

This is one of her bureaus with the gorgeous wall decal above it of SNOW WHITE her favorite DISNEY PRINCESS. Yes those small lights on the curtains are shiny beads.

These are the rest of the DISNEY PRINCESS DECALS around her room! The decals come with jewels, flowers, birds, butterflies, fairy godmothers and more. She has her bench next to her bookcase so that she can sit and read.

This is how her room looks. Wow it really came out beautiful ! Great job guys. Love Nana

Mommy, Sissy and I are very excited proud and humbled to have received a wonderful blogger award called the Versatile Blogger award! Our very first. We were given this by www.dealsharingaunt.blogspot.com. It is hard to believe that we started this blog a few months ago when Sissy was in The Little Miss Strawberry Contest and we decided to make her outfit from scratch! It was so much fun and it cost so little that we wanted to share it with others, so that they would see that you don't have to spend a lot of money to have fun entering a contest, you just have to use your own creativity!
I guess because you have to list 7 things about yourself and because we all share the blog we will each take 2 on the list, but me Nana will get the extra because I am older. Ha ! Ha!
My list # 1. I have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
# 2. Poppie died 2 years ago next week.
We would have been married 40 years in April !
# 3. I am very lucky to have a great family that has helped me .
Mommy's list . # 1 . I like to shop, a lot !
# 2. I waited a long time to have two wonderful kids !
Sissy's list # 1. I am having a lot of fun making my room into a Princess room
# 2. I can't wait to go to school next year like Bobo !
The next on the list is to award 15 new bloggers and tell them about this great idea as a way to get to know each other . Thanks to all !
