Where Rivers Part by Kellie Coates Gilbert Book Tour and Book Review

Where Rivers Part

A Texas Gold Novel

About

Success too often comes with a price. Juliet never imagined it could be so high.
Dr. Juliet Ryan has devoted her considerable scientific acumen to corporate America, providing safe drinking water for millions--and affording her plenty of perks along the way. It's not the path her estranged father would have her take, but then Juliet finds it difficult to maintain respect for a man she cannot trust. She's on her way up in the world, and she's not going to let anything drag her down.

But when a fast-moving disaster sweeps Juliet into a whirlpool of corporate scandal, lives are at risk--including those of some of the people closest to her. As she scrambles to find answers, Juliet must face her deepest wounds and join forces with the one who has hurt her most in order to expose a far-reaching conspiracy.

Like a mighty river with twists and turns and hidden rocks, this engrossing story will sweep you relentlessly along as it fearlessly explores the seduction of success, the fear of giving up control, and the redemptive power of learning to forgive.

"Claire is a strong female lead. It's refreshing that she does not buckle under the immense pressure she is facing, and the human quality of her struggle is relatable to readers. Though this story is a work of fiction, it feels as if it could be based on real life. This tale of family and faith brings to light what truly matters in life and the desperate struggle to hold on to it."--RT Book Reviews, 4 stars

"Once again, Kellie Coates Gilbert crafts a novel borrowed from the headlines, this time drawing on her experience as a legal investigator. She creates empathy for people involved in complex situations as the novel's characters fumble to reclaim and reestablish their faith when society's judgment and solutions aren't necessarily God's choices."--CBA Retailers+Resources

My review;

"Where Rivers Part", by Kellie Coates Gilbert is a novel that has a lot of twists and turns. Dr. Juliet Ryan has gone from a great career to a fast moving down spiral. She has pulled into a corporate scandal and she needs help to get out. Will she be able to ask for help from the person she can never respect? Will she ever be able to forgive and go on with her life?   Who will she be able to trust? This is a story of what faith can do in a family. I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book by Revell Publishing and all opinions are my own.
