My favorite Halloween memory was when I was 8 years old and me and my mom made my cat costume together.
ReplyDeleteMine would be the year that it started snowing before we headed out. Dad and mom still took us anyway. By the time we got to the last stop, we were in a full out blizzard. By the time we got home we had about 12 inches of snow and it was still coming!
ReplyDeleteBeing scared to death by a scare crow we thought was fake.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween memories are from "corning". Every year for Halloween, we'd spend hours shucking corn (& got really sore hands!) into brown paper grocery bags. Then a whole gang of us would roam the neighborhood, throwing handfuls at people front porches. It makes a horrible racket, lol.
ReplyDeleteMine favorite halloween memory is probably the year the next town had trick or treating a different night from my town so my brother and i got to go out with our cousins on 2 nights and got double the candy! - See more at: http://dealsharingaunt.blogspot.com/2013/09/a-haunted-halloween-giveaway-hop.html?showComment=1378145253790#c390446439457752370
ReplyDeleteMt favorite Halloween memory was when my mom made me a long dress so I could be Granny Clampet from the Beverly Hillbillies. I am 61 now and still have the dress. I can "almost" fit into it.
ReplyDeleteGoing to my tiny school's Halloween event. They made it so special for us kids, there was maybe 40 kids in the whole school and it was awesome.

I really enjoyed Halloween when I was growing up. All the neighborhood kids would dress up in their costumes and go trick or treating and then my family and friends would have a Halloween Party at home. Great times!

My favorite Memory of Halloween is going with my mom to pick up a Little Caesars pizza and having to wait in a massive line because everyone else had the same idea. Then going home and getting into my costume and going trick or treating with my sister and rating everyone's costumes and the candy we got at each house. When we finally got back home we would trade the candy we didn't want and give some to my mom.
ReplyDeleteOne house when I was a child would make their porch all dark and scary, then you had to fish your candy out of a bowl of eye balls (peeled grapes) guts (cooked spaghetti) or zombie blood (semi set jello). It was so gross but we all loved it.
ReplyDeletemy favorite year was the year my sister was born and me and brother filled our pillowcases to the top with candy
