Symone must travel through the opaque light in order to find where her destiny lies.

Symone’s family, Shiray and Syira, continue to fight in the feuds of their galaxy. Together they have to find the balance between compassion and sacrifice. Kadanans are being held captive, and they hold the fate of their world in their hands. They have only begun to understand the consequences of the devastating realities of war.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, is the philosophy the Romelands now abide by. With chaos and turmoil at every corner, they may forget what is worth fighting for. The surge for power has erupted. Only the strongest race will be left standing.

Excerpt:

Chapter 12

* * * Symone * * *

A thundering roar, followed by rocks and rubble splattered everywhere. I was dazed as to what happened. Then I saw some Kadanans had been hit and lay demised. The Polars had fired their laser cannon at a large group that hadn’t yet got out. The explosion caused an avalanche. Smoke polluted the air. Giant boulders were falling around Kadeem, Syira, Star, and about thirty others. They huddled together, then they disappeared. We all ran full speed for the opening Bryan had created. Bryan, several from his team, followed by Nile, and I dashed through it. Shi and her group were on our tail when the Polar’s cannon let off another detonation.

Mounds of rocks rushed down. The sound was ear splintering. The last one to make it out was a young woman with sky blue eyes. Then the opening sealed completely with rocks. Shi didn’t get through. I felt my eyes bulge from their sockets. Shi, members from her team, and others were on the other side of the barricade. Kadeem had already teleported his group to get out of the avalanche’s path. Would he be able to get them out? My mind screamed.

Bryan dashed over to the piles of debris and rocks, which were still raining down in a landslide. “We have to get back in there and get them out!” Bryan yelled. He began to toss rocks aside. Nile used his kinesis to whisk rocks away. John stepped in to intervene.

“Your Highness, I’m picking up Polar ships on my radar,” John said, glancing at his telecom device. “We need to get our people to safety aboard our vessels before we can help the others.”

The group of Kadanans we’d helped escape stood behind us, waiting anxiously for the next set of directions. Bryan’s emerald eyes were wild.

“We don’t have long before their fleet attacks,” John tried again.

“Get them to the ships, John,” Bryan said. “Nile and I will work on this barricade.”

John seemed torn. His forehead wrinkled. “You have a duty to your people and I have a duty to protect you if need be.”

“John, Shiray is behind these rocks. There is no way in hell I’m leaving her!”

B Truly has wanted to be an author since she was fifteen years old and is grateful to have accomplished this dream. She has very vivid dreams and a wild imagination.
