The Midwife's Tale by Delia Parr Book Review and Book Tour

About

Martha Cade comes from a long line of midwives who have served the families of Trinity, Pennsylvania, for generations. A widow with two grown children, she's hopeful that her daughter will follow in her footsteps, but when Victoria runs off, Martha's world is shattered.

Worse, a new doctor has arrived in town, threatening her job, and she can't remember a time when her faith has been tested more. Still determined to do the work she knows God intended for her, Martha is unprepared for all that waits ahead. Whether it's trying to stop a town scandal, mending broken relationships, or feeling the first whispers of an unexpected romance, she faces every trial and every opportunity with hope and faith.

Reviews

Parr masterfully shows a mother's anguish, the range of emotions a midwife experiences on a daily basis, and the doubts even a person of deep faith can feel.

Where to Purchase

 My review;

I just finished reading "A Midwife's Tale", and I really liked the story. Martha Cade is following her family's need to help other mothers. Now she has 2 children of her own they are both grown, and she is a widow. She has always wanted her daughter to be a midwife like her but, she has left and wants no part of this life. Martha does not know what to do. Now she has found out that a new doctor wants to take over what she has been doing for years. Martha thinks that God has a plan for her and that he wants her to continue being a midwife. While all of this is still happening she still has faith and hope in God and what he has planned for her future.  I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book by Bethany House for the purpose of a  review and all opinions are my own.
